A Chasm Would Open
47
Empty future,
hardly can remember the past,
the water rushing fast,
eyes tight,
and her ghost was like
silver in the moonlight,
she was much too exhausted
to put up a decent fight,
ship sinking,
her spirit thinking,
the ghosts of the other passengers
were blinking,
the visuals caused so much harm,
the sea crushing bodies,
as she felt God’s shift in her arm,
all the waves and water
would rush suddenly
in a horrific downward spiral,
some ghosts tangled,
while others flying free,
and then a chasm would open
on the sea,
and that was the reality,
as hope prayed,
and someone stuck out their hand
in an awkward, futile aid,
a knot of fear came,
then stayed,
no shame,
as the heavens would call her name.

You just created another poetic Titanic with your words. Be a blessing! Peace!
Felt like I was floating over the sea with spirits all around. Good work Frank!
You have captured a moment in time beautifully.
A great poem, beautifully expressed.
Frank, you always seem to amaze me with your poetry. Deep poetry my friend. Voted up, awesome, and interesting. Have a good one.
Perhaps the greatest compliment I can offer you, is to say that I held my breath as I read your poem. Quite sad and beautiful and elegiac.
Frank , such tragedies are almost to reak to imagine ,but you did it here my friend !

A beautiful capture here Frank . I saw a picture quite clearly when I read.
A fine capture .
That last gulp of air that everyone I saw die , takes , God alone knows what being manifested in those moments. It's only fair for us to think they know anything.
When you know nothing you are truly dead. But until then you will know all what you are supposed to.
Great capture.
Bless.
